Through Marshall SDG, MSV provide a considerable range of Consultancy and Integrated Support Solutions. This capability, provided by the 20 egineering and scientific specialists in MSDG, but backed up as necessary by the Design and Engineering and Customer Support Teams, allows MSV to assist both governments and other industries to determine the best solutions to the problem. In addition, the MSDG team is available to double check technical ouput and to provide independent advice to MSV and MVE.
With skills and capabilities in robotics, UAVs, EMI, EMC, Design, Systems Architecture, EOD, safety engineering, ballistics, gun systems, power train and suspension design as well as operational concept analysis and new product development. MSDG's scientists and engineers are always busy. How do you work out why vehicles fall off trailers or a UAV does not launch as well as expected. Having identified the problem, the next step is to determine the cause of the problem and finally to recommend a solution, design it and produce a working protoype.
This study work is coupled with a rapid prototyping capability that makes MSV the ideal partner for the supply of Urgent Operational Requirements. This latter capability is perhaps best illustrated by a recent case where a manufacturer came to MSDG wanting to develop a UAV. Based only on a general arrangement drawing, MSDG built a flyable UAV airframe within 12 days, but more importantly, produced the necessary controlled support documents available to allow series manufacture.
