MARSHALL PROVIDES MOBILE INTELLIGENCE ANALYSIS SYSTEM

3 Shelter system mounted on 15 tonne support vehicles go for
customer trials
Cambridge, 6th October 2009; A mobile intelligence analysis system has been delivered to the UK Ministry of Defence by Marshall SV, part of Cambridge based Marshall Land Systems, for user acceptance trials.
The first stage in a contract for three systems, the system has been designed to provide working space for intelligence analysts to process data and deliver information to commanders to use in planning future activities.
Consisting of two expandable shelters and a standard shelter connected together, the cell is mounted on three MAN 15 tonne support vehicles which makes the facility highly mobile and able to be deployed into a wide variety of areas.
“This fast track contract was made possible by our agility in responding to the customer’s requirements,” said Peter Callaghan, Chief Executive of Marshall Land Systems. “Our experience with expanding shelters and our in-house design and manufacturing skills have enabled us to deliver a quality solution on time and to the tight financial requirements,” he added.
The Marshall expandable shelters are designed to have the central part of the shelter on a firm base, such as the load bed of the vehicle and the expandable sections having sufficient inbuilt integrity not to require additional support.
